Feeling overjoyed! And waning sentimentally poetic… this happens sometimes although it is really waning at the moment. Read on to enjoy. Been awhile since I updated anything on a personal note. This is too good not to share.
In looking on happy autumn fields, before the passing of memory, I share the blessings of my fruitful weeks. My newly published children’s picture books “A Duck Named Goose” and “Un Pato Llamado Ganso” have been purchased for each elementary school library in my son’s school district, a new partnership collaboration with The Children’s Book Bank of Portland has formed to make sure all children in our community have access to diverse books at an early age regardless of background, and 3 awards are being framed for myself, Mama Picky Pants writer & publisher, and the best illustrator, Danyol Murphy. Much appreciation to all who have stepped alongside this path on a journey of possibilities!
Next goal: Looking for charitable donors, philanthropists, or benefactors, to purchase 1000 copies of “Un Pato Llamado Ganso” to give to The Children’s Book Bank which is great need of quality, diverse Spanish language books like this one! Who do you know that would like to give back to our children and community, please get them in touch with me. In love and joy, Amber.
